Finding serenity
Marla & Casey reached out to be a few months ago and asked me to shoot their backyard wedding. Life happens and apparently so do viruses. They reached back out to me when they saw my project and jumped to the opportunity to support a local artist! I can’t thank them enough! - Already working together in the same office, now moved home, how has your WFH life changed?
“The transition to working from home was fairly straightforward for us, given that we’ve worked together in multiple offices throughout our years together. So when we were told to work from home, it wasn’t as big a jolt to our dynamic as I imagine it probably was for others. The funniest part is that our desks here at home are actually further apart than they are at work!
But it’s still not easy. Working at home tends to blur the lines between our work/life balance. My workday starts earlier and ends later than normal without a commute to bookend the day. I’ve had to purposefully section off areas of our house as ‘work’ areas to trick myself into letting go when I’m not physically in those spaces.
Even so, we’re glad for it. We recognize the importance of this isolation, and we want to be a part of the solution. I think this has the potential to be a turning point for our nation’s history.
I hope it catalyzes change for our healthcare and education systems. I hope a lot of things change now, so that we never have to endure something like this again.
Thanks for coming to wave at us, and helping connect us in these uncertain times. I’ll treasure these snapshots all my life.”
