320 sq ft Mansion
What unique ways are you staying creative and do you have advice to anyone who is living in a studio/small living space?
“I started painting skateboards a few years ago because I wanted to do something creative and sprinkle a little joy into people’s lives. With all that’s been going on in the past month, it’s definitely been the best time for me (and my sanity really) to throw down some paint and make something joyful for others. It’s very cathartic and art is definitely my form of therapy. Also I love kids and the pieces I’m working on are for little ones - this makes my heart is soooo happy!! The best advice I can give anyone living in a small space: design with PURPOSE, fill with LOVE! My apt is 320 sq ft and filled to the brim with pieces I’ve collected from travels, found thrifting/flea markets, handmade by me or other artisans, or given to me by family and friends. Having pieces that remind you of important people or moments in your life will help center you, especially in times when we feel so disconnected from the outside world. Bed is for sleep. Couch is for Netflix and quarantine (or the occasional Zoom meeting). Floor is to create/work out. Kitchen has become my office - for now... Open the windows or doors and let a little sunshine in!” - @kmarielmnop
